On April 21st, the space of the Tait Gallery in Berlin hosted a selection of my latest works: a visual investigation where figurative portraiture intimately merges with the substance of writing.
In these large artworks, the human face is not defined by continuous lines or traditional brushstrokes, but instead emerges from the deep darkness through a constellation of letters, glyphs, and typographic characters. Each graphic sign becomes a tile of a contemporary mosaic, an atom of meaning that builds the subject’s identity and expression. The word ceases to be merely a vehicle for information, transforming instead into flesh, shadow, volume, and light.
It was an inspiring dialogue with the industrial and textured architecture of the gallery, where the sinuous silhouette of the wooden sculpture in the foreground and the chromatic contrasts of the adjacent rooms amplified the silent vibration of these faces, made of infinite untold stories.

Il 21 aprile scorso, lo spazio della Tait Gallery a Berlino ha ospitato una selezione delle mie ultime opere: un’indagine visiva in cui il ritratto figurativo si fonde intimamente con la materia della scrittura.
In queste grandi opere, il volto umano non è descritto da linee continue o pennellate tradizionali, ma emerge dal buio profondo attraverso una costellazione di lettere, glifi e caratteri tipografici. Ogni singolo segno grafico diventa il tassello di un mosaic contemporaneo, un atomo di significato che costruisce l’identità e l’espressione del soggetto. La parola cessa di essere unicamente un veicolo di informazione per farsi carne, ombra, volume e luce.
È stato un dialogo stimolante con l’architettura industriale e materica della galleria, in cui la silhouette sinuosa della scultura lignea in primo piano e i contrasti cromatici delle sale attigue hanno amplificato la vibrazione silenziosa di questi volti, fatti di infinite storie non dette.
